Our parents are our first point of influence, they are typically our first teachers and guidance, as we are raised we want validation, love and nurturing. As adults, we understand the humanism of our parents; the myth of invulnerability is broken. It is as an adult that we can explore our own identity and compare ourselves through our parents. This issue discusses the exploration of identity through photographing family and what the 'family' means to you in all aspects of the meaning, for some, friends are family, for others it means parents and siblings, it defines moments and memories, our past and our future.
If you have work that relates to this theme weather that is a photographic series, illustrations, essay or the use of archival imagery we want to see it.
